So it was a good year.
Year ended on a low note. Drunken antics lead to a stupid fall and ruined my holiday plans and the last days of 2009. Such a shame since I had really busted my ass this semester and was looking forward to some traveling and driving.
Ah well, I can walk but ankle still pretty swollen. So there goes many things I had planned in 2010. Bartending course, don't think I can get fit in time for the Jan 13 start date. All the trips I had planned to sign up for. There goes my dream of learning how to sail. Sigh :|
Still I guess I can make the most of the 2010. If I can work hard and get a paper published in an conference (now I must sound like some mad PhD guy), I get a free trip to Denmark. Should be fun to sample European bears again.
Again, this has been an interesting year. One dream was realized but it turned not to be not exactly what I thought it would be. Still, no regrets as always, in fact I feel like I've gained a lot of perspective. 2010 would be a year of big decisions, but we'll leave that for later.
I'm not sure if I posted a list of resolutions for 2009 (too lazy to check archives). I hope I did. It's fun reviewing your epic fails isn't it?
I was watching the TV news (can't go out party, mobility limited) and some buggers had been at Times Square since 2 in the afternoon in the freezing cold and rain, just so they could see the ball drop. If you can get excited about a ball dropping, then you have found happiness. A sensible man would ponder on the insanity of working yourself up to a frenzy about a ball dropping, about a day giving way to another day. Be unsensible, do not think too much, if your perspective is to enjoy life, you'll find yourself enjoying every little moment.
And in the true spirit of randomness and the infallible almost godly random number generator, I give you pure hilarity. PWNed, EPIC FAIL and probably every other grammatically incorrect adjective can be applied to this. Pure LOLage from the mascot.
